Sopore, Aug 21 (KNO): Cabinet Minister Javed Dar on Thursday said that the government is committed to fast-tracking development across Jammu and Kashmir, promising improved roads, schools and hospitals in the coming years. Addressing locals, Dar, as per the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), said that J&K had lost track of development in the absence of a popular government for several years. He assured that the present administration is working to bring the region on the development track again. “In the past, a lot was neglected. Now, people have given us a mandate and put trust on their representatives. All that is needed is patience and we will bring development back on track,” he said. The Minister assured that no village will be left behind in the process. “Whether it is roads or any other sector, people will witness visible changes on the ground. Around 18 kilometres have already been macadamised in Zaingeer village alone,” Minister informed. He further said that in the next one to two years, villages will witness development in terms of road connectivity, hospitals and schools. On the education and health sector, Dar stated that the government is considering the creation of new posts wherever necessary. “Wherever there is a need of sanctioned posts, it will be fulfilled,” he added—(KNO)
